How to Request a Refund for an Apple/iPhone Subscription
Who has your money?
Apple is the retailer. When you subscribe via the App Store, you pay Apple directly. Calm never receives your credit card or billing details.
The Result: Calm Support cannot process refunds for these charges. We physically do not have the ability to reverse the transaction. You must request it from Apple.
Step-by-Step Refund Instructions
Apple handles these requests entirely online.
Go to the Portal: Visit reportaproblem.apple.com.
Log In: Sign in with your Apple ID and password.
Find the Charge: Look for "Calm" in the list of recent purchases.
Select Option: Tap the drop-down menu "I'd like to..." and select "Request a refund".
Choose Reason: Select the reason (e.g., "I didn't mean to buy this" or "Right of Withdrawal").
Submit: Apple will review your request. See this article for additional information.
Troubleshooting Common Issues
-
"The charge is 'Pending'":
If the charge says Pending on your bank statement or in Apple's portal, you cannot request a refund yet.
The Fix: You must wait (usually 24 hours) for the charge to "Post" or "Clear" before the refund option becomes available.
-
"I don't see the charge":
You might be logged into a different Apple ID. Check your email receipt to see which email address was billed.
-
"Apple denied my refund":
Since Apple controls the decision, Calm cannot overturn their ruling. However, you can try appealing the decision through the same "Report a Problem" portal.
