We highly recommend giving Calm a try if you need help falling asleep. Below you will find our recommended app settings for falling asleep.
If you'd like to use our meditations as you're falling asleep, you'll first want to change "Play sounds outside the app" setting to 0 MIN. To do so, tap the More button in the bottom right corner of your home screen, then tap Scenes, and you'll see that option listed at the bottom of the Scenes menu. If you're listening to a Sleep Story, the background sounds will automatically stop when you start the story, as these sessions include their own music and sounds.
If you'd like to just listen to background sounds, simply set the "Play sounds outside the app" to the amount of time you would like for them to play, and then turn your screen off. The background sounds will continue to play until the timer ends.
For any of our programs, please do be sure to exit the app once you start the session - if you leave the app open, the sounds may continue to play after the session ends.
