Changing Background Scenes & Sound Settings
What is a "Scene"? A Scene is the visual background and ambient sound (e.g., Rain on Leaves, Mountain Lake) that plays on the home screen and during meditations.
How to Change the Scene
Open the Menu: Tap the Mountain Icon in the top left corner of the Home screen.
Browse: Scroll through the list of available scenes (Nature, Water, Abstract, etc.).
Download: Tap any scene to download it to your device.
Select: Once downloaded, tap it to set it as your background.
How to Adjust Scene Volume
Is the rain too loud? Or do you want silence?
Tap the Mountain Icon (top left).
Look for the "Scene Volume" slider at the bottom.
Adjust:
Slide Left: Lowers the volume.
Slide All the Way Left: Mutes the scene completely.
Silent Scenes: You can also choose "Silent Earth" or "Silent Clouds" from the menu if you never want background noise.
"Play Outside App" & Duration Settings
Control how long the background sound plays after you close the app or finish a session.
Where to find it: Tap the Mountain Icon and look for the Duration Selector (e.g., "0 min", "1 hour").
How it works:
0 min: The sound stops immediately when you close the app or lock your phone.
1 hour / 4 hours / etc.: The sound continues playing for that duration after you close the app or after a meditation/story ends.
Example: If you select "1 Hour" and listen to a Sleep Story, the rain sounds will continue for 60 minutes after the story finishes to help you stay asleep.
Important Notes
Sleep Stories: Background scenes do NOT play during Sleep Stories. Each story has its own unique sound design that overrides your home screen scene.
Meditations: Your selected scene (and its volume) WILL play in the background during meditations.
