How to Change the Name or Email Address on Your Calm Account

You can update the name and email address associated with your Calm account at any time. You can make these changes using either the Calm website or the Calm mobile app.

Method 1: Update via the Calm Website (Desktop/Browser)

  1. Go to the Calm website and log in.

  2. Navigate to your Profile page .

  3. Locate your account details to make your changes:

    • Option A: If your fields are directly editable on this page, simply type in your new name or email.

    • Option B: If you see an 'Account Settings' tab instead, click the 'Go to Settings' button. This will take you to the page where you can update your name or email address.

  4. Save your changes.

Method 2: Update via the Calm Mobile App (iOS & Android)

  1. Open the Calm app and tap Profile on the home screen.

  2. Tap the Settings (Gear icon) in the upper left corner.

  3. Tap Account Info.

  4. Change your name or email address in the fields provided.

  5. Important: You must tap 'Update' at the bottom of the screen to ensure your new information saves.

Troubleshooting: "Email Already in Use" Error 

If you try to update your email address and receive an "Email already in use" error, it means another Calm account is already registered under that email.

To fix this, check if that old account has an active paid subscription and follow the correct steps below:

  • If the old account does NOT have an active subscription: 1. Sign out of your current account. 2. Sign in to the older account using the email address you are trying to switch to. 3. Delete that older account to free up the email address. 4. Once deleted, log back into your primary account and update your email address.

  • If the old account DOES have an active subscription: * Do not delete the account! Deleting it could cause you to lose your Premium access. Instead, please contact our support team for assistance with your accounts.
