If you have set up a mindfulness reminder in the Calm app but are not receiving it, the issue is usually related to your device's notification settings or a recent change to your reminder schedule.
Here is how to make sure your reminders are delivered successfully:
1. Verify Your Reminder Settings in the App
First, make sure your reminder is actively saved and toggled on within the Calm app:
Tap Profile in the bottom menu.
Tap the Gear icon (Settings) in the top left corner.
Select Mindful Reminders and ensure your desired times are toggled on.
2. Enable Push Notifications on Your Device
Calm’s mindfulness reminders are sent as standard push notifications. If your phone or tablet is currently set to block notifications from the Calm app, your reminders will not appear.
Please check your device's main settings to confirm that push notifications are enabled for Calm. (Need help with this? Follow the device-specific instructions here: How to enable push notifications)
3. Check Focus or Do Not Disturb Modes
Even if push notifications are fully enabled for the Calm app, modern smartphones have aggressive focus features that can suppress alerts. Double-check that your device's Do Not Disturb, Sleep Mode, or Focus Mode isn't actively silencing notifications at the time your reminder is scheduled to go off.
4. Note the 24-Hour Update Window
If you recently updated the time of your reminder, please note that it can take a full 24 hours for the new schedule to take effect.
For example: If you change your daily reminder from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM today, the system may not send the notification at the newly requested time until 5:00 PM tomorrow.
