Breathing exercises are powerful tools to help you relax, refocus, or energize. These exercises feature a "Breathe Bubble" visualization with audio that can be customized to fit your needs.
How to Access Breathing Exercises
Tap the Discover menu at the bottom of the home screen.
Select Mindful Tools.
Under the Breathing Exercises heading, swipe through the options or tap See All.

Choose from our six breathing styles:
Relax (Free)
Balance
Restore
Focus
Energize
Unwind
Customizing your Exercise
Once you’ve selected an exercise, you can adjust the experience before you begin:
Set a Timer: Tap the Clock icon to choose a duration ranging from 1 minute to "Endless."
Adjust Speed: Tap the Settings/Controls icon to select your pace (4, 6, or 8 breaths per minute).
Volume: Within the Settings/Controls icon, you can independently adjust the volume for the "Breathe" guidance and the background "Scene" sounds.
How to Manage Haptics & Vibrations
The settings for physical feedback (haptics/vibrations) differ depending on your device:
Apple (iOS) Instructions
Launch the Calm app and go to your Profile.
Tap the Settings (gear icon) in the top-left corner.
Locate the Haptic Feedback toggle at the top of the page.
Tap to toggle it Off or On.
Android Instructions
Launch Calm and start your Breathing Exercise.
Tap the Settings/Controls icon located next to the play/pause button.
Locate the Vibrations toggle.
Tap to toggle it Off or On, then press Save Settings.
Additional information
Save for Later: Tap the Heart icon to favorite an exercise so you can find it quickly in your Profile.
