Troubleshooting Calm Gift Card Redemption Errors

Where to Redeem: You must redeem your code at calm.com/redeem. You cannot redeem codes inside the mobile app.
App Compatibility: These codes work for the Calm App only.
Error 1: "You already have an active subscription"
The Problem: You cannot apply a gift card on top of an active, auto-renewing subscription (Apple, Google, or Credit Card).

The Fix:
Wait: You must wait for your current subscription to expire.
Cancel Auto-Renew: Ensure you have canceled your current subscription so it doesn't renew. See How to Cancel Your Subscription or Free Trial.
Redeem Later: Once your account switches to "Free" status, the code will work. Note: Gift codes do not expire, so it is safe to wait
Error 2: "The code you entered is not valid"
The Problem: Usually a typo.

Check these Common Mistakes:
Zero vs. Letter O: Try swapping them.
One vs. Letter I: Try swapping them.
Spaces: Ensure there are no spaces before or after the code.
Case Sensitivity: Enter all letters in CAPS.
Error 3: "There was an error redeeming this gift"
The Problem: This vague error usually means you have a "Partner Subscription" (e.g., free access via Kaiser, Amex, or an employer benefit).

The Fix:
If you have an employer benefit: You cannot use the gift card on this account. You must create a new, separate free account to use the gift card.
If you have no active plans: Please Contact Support immediately with your code.
