What are Sleep Stories?
Sleep Stories are designed to help our users fall into a restful sleep while listening to a variety of enjoyable stories about everything from the Sierra Nevada to magical waterfalls. Our stories help you transition from the hustle and bustle of daily life to the Calm of the evening. We even have a nap category if you're looking for a quick rest.
What kinds of Sleep Stories does Calm offer?
We offer a variety of categories including 'Fiction,' 'Nature,' and 'Music', with stories read by over 50 different narrators. We even have some stories that were created to induce ASMR (Autonomous sensory meridian response), a reaction that some people experience when exposed to certain auditory stimuli. Are there Sleep Story playlists I can listen to all night?
You can seamlessly listen to hours of our most popular Sleep Stories with our curated Sleep Playlists. You can find these curated Sleep Playlists in the Calm app in the Sleep content library under the ‘Playlists’ tab (Please note: these playlists are currently not available on the website, but we’re working on adding them soon). Each playlist is about 3-4 hours long, and some, like our Exploring Europe playlist, include a soundscape at the end. You can even set a timer so these playlists end after a certain amount of time.
Note: There currently isn’t an option to create or customize playlists, but we’re hoping to add this option soon!
Where can I find Sleep Stories?
Sleep Stories can be found by tapping the 'Sleep' button at the bottom of the Home screen of the Calm app, and you can select from a variety of categories to find the story just right for lulling you to sleep!
How often are new Sleep Stories added?
We update the Sleep Stories section with a new piece of sleep content 4-6 times per month.
