Depending on your personal goals, we recommend exploring the following features to get the most out of your new app:
Goal 1: Learning to Meditate
If you have come to Calm to learn mindfulness meditation, we recommend starting with our structured beginner programs before exploring the broader library.

The Daily Calm: This is our most popular feature. Thousands of people around the world start their day with these 10-minute sessions. Each session explores a fresh topic or theme, making it a great way to develop a regular daily practice.
Where to find it: You can find our Daily content right on the Home page of the app, located in the very first carousel.
7 Days of Calm: Start here! This is our introductory program that teaches you the basics of meditation.
21 Days of Calm: Once you finish the 7 Days of Calm, move on to this program to continue building your foundation.

How to Meditate: For listeners looking for a different experience, guest instructor Jeff Warren has contributed an excellent 30-day introduction to meditation.
Where to find courses: To find specific programs like the 7 Days of Calm, tap the Discover tab at the bottom of your screen and type the title into the search bar at the top. You can also use the quick navigation menu in the center of the Discover page (with icons for Meditation, Music, Mindful Tools, Reflections, etc.) to browse by category.
Goal 2: Improving Your Sleep
If you have come to Calm to help you drift off to a restful sleep, we offer a dedicated library of soothing content.
Sleep Stories: We have a collection of over 100 bedtime stories for adults and kids. Themes range from classic literature to nature essays, children's tales, and scientific articles. We update our Sleep Stories selection with new options every week.

Sleep Music: We also have a large collection of soothing Sleep Music designed to help you relax before bed.
Where to find Sleep content: Tap the Sleep tab at the bottom of your screen. From there, you can use the sub-tabs at the top of the page to filter by Sleep Stories, Meditations, Tools, Music, Soundscapes, Playlists, and Downloads.
Tips for a Distraction-Free Experience
To get the best possible experience during your sessions, we suggest cutting down on potential distractions:
Use a pair of headphones.
Switch your phone to Airplane mode or Do Not Disturb mode before pressing 'play' to prevent calls or text alerts from interrupting your peace.
