Calm Health is available to eligible UHC and Optum members as part of your health plan benefits. You can access Calm Health through your member portal or via a direct link provided in your invitation email, depending on your plan.
Step 1: Access Calm Health
If you received an invitation email: Click the link in your invitation email to go directly to the Calm Health registration page. Skip to Step 2.
If you did not receive a direct link: Log in to your UHC/Optum member portal via web browser or your health insurance app and look for the Calm Health benefit tile.
- Optum members: Optum Live and Work Well
- UHC members: myUHC
Once you find the Calm Health tile, click it to begin the sponsorship redemption process. If you are completing registration on a mobile device, you may be prompted to download the Calm Health app before continuing. If so, download the app and continue your registration there.
Don't see the Calm Health tile? You may not be eligible for this benefit. Call the number on the back of your insurance card to confirm your eligibility.
Step 2: Create or Log In to Your Calm Account
Select one of the following options shown on your screen:
- Log in with your Calm account: Choose this if you have an existing Calm account. Continue with the email or sign-in method previously used with Calm.

Create a Calm account: Choose this if you don't have a Calm account. Continue with your preferred sign-up method.
Step 3: Set Up Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)
You will be prompted to secure your account with MFA. Enter a valid phone number and select your preferred verification method: text message or phone call. To learn more about MFA for Calm Health, visit our MFA guide.
Step 4: Confirm Your Eligibility Details
When prompted, enter your First and Last name, then accept the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. Tap Continue.
You may be asked to confirm your eligibility details on a separate screen. If prompted, re-enter your First name, Last name, Date of birth, and Member ID as it appears on your insurance member card. Tap Continue.
Note: An access code is not required for UHC or Optum members. If you are asked for one, make sure you have completed Step 1 through your member portal or invitation email link before proceeding.
Step 5: Complete Your Registration
Once your eligibility is confirmed, you'll see a success screen. You'll then be asked to complete a short survey before being taken to your personalized Plan.
You can now access Calm Health. If you completed registration on a computer, scan the QR code shown to download the Calm Health app on your mobile device. Or use the links below:
Log in to Calm Health using the same sign-in method you selected in Step 2.
