We have two different 30-day programs to introduce you to Calm and mindfulness meditation. Tamara Levitt, Calm's Head of Mindfulness, has written and narrated the 7 Days of Calm, our introductory program that offers the basics of meditation, as well as our 21 Days of Calm; together, these programs complete one of our two 30-day introductory programs.
For listeners looking for a different experience, a guest instructor to the Calm app, Jeff Warren, has contributed a 30-day introduction to meditation titled How to Meditate.
With that foundation, we recommend that you explore our library of sessions and programs, which address themes such as sleep, focus, and gratitude.
There’s also our most popular meditation, the Daily Calm, which can be found on the Calm app's home page. Thousands of people around the world start their day with these 10-minute sessions, each of which explores a fresh topic or theme. It’s a great way to develop a regular practice.
As you begin your meditation journey, we suggest cutting down on potential distractions during meditation by switching your phone to airplane mode / do not disturb mode before pressing "play." And use headphones! :)
Lastly, when you sit down to meditate, bring your curiosity, a non-judgemental mind, and an open heart.
