How to purchase the Student Plan

In order to redeem this subscription, you'll need to provide proof that you are enrolled as a student. Once approved, you will gain access to our subsidized subscription.
Please follow the steps listed below:
- Please visit calm.com/students
- Sign in or Create an account
- Sign in using the method selected when you first created your account (email + password, Facebook, Apple, or Google Sign in)
- If you create an account, please input your first name, email address, and password of at least 8 characters
- Next, a pop-up will appear requesting school and personal information
- Input the name of your school or university
- Next, input your first then last name in the respective boxes
- Select the month you were born, and input the date and year
- Lastly, input an email address (preferably a student email)
You can select 'yes', if you want to receive marketing emails.
Once this information is complete, select 'Verify my student status'. If we are able to verify your student status, select 'Get Calm Premium'. You will then be presented with several payment methods. You can choose from either Paypal, Apple Pay, GPay, or manually entering your credit or debit card credentials.
After the payment method is confirmed, select 'Subscribe'. After your payment is processed, you will see a 'Welcome to Calm Premium' page. You can download the app, and begin your mindfulness journey.
Am I eligible to purchase the Student Plan?
To be eligible for the student rate, you must be over the age of 18 and currently enrolled in a post-secondary program or university and earning credit towards a diploma, degree, or professional license in the United States. This offer is not currently available to users outside of the United States at this time.
Additionally, the Student Plan offer is only available for those users who are not currently subscribed to Calm Premium. How do I verify my student status?
SheerID can quickly verify your student status, and can be completed during the sign up flow. If you were unable to verify your status instantly, the next step in the form will request you upload a document that shows you're currently enrolled in a post-secondary program or university in the United States.
Your first and last names, the name of your college or university, and an issue date from the current academic term or within the last three months must be visible.
The following documents can be used to verify student status:
Official Enrollment Letter, not just an acceptance letter
Current class schedule
Registration or tuition receipt
Transcript with your classes
Other school-issued documents with an issue date within the last three months that display your first and last names
I was unable to verify my student status during sign up.
If you receive an email that your submission was denied, click the ‘TRY AGAIN’ button to resubmit. Please double-check that the document you submitted meets the requirements we outlined above.
If you continue to be denied, please get in touch with the SheerID support team via email@example.com or https://www.sheerid.com/help/contact. When you email SheerID, mention which document you submitted, why your submission was rejected (this should be listed in the denial email), and the email address you used to verify.
