How do I use the Calm Schools resources?
Navigate to https://www.calm.com/schools/resources. On this page, you can download two different resource packets in PDF format: 30 Days of Mindfulness in the Classroom and Self Care Guide for Teachers.
30 Days of Mindfulness in the Classroom offers age-specific mindfulness lesson plans, including free access to some of Calm's content for kids. This content can be accessed through downloadable resources.
Self Care Guide for Teachers provides an introduction to mindfulness for educators, including self-care tips resources to help teachers feel happier and healthier in the classroom and beyond.
Who can use these materials? Can students access them outside of school?
While our Calm Schools resources are designed for PreK-12 educators, they can be downloaded and accessed by anyone. Feel free to encourage your students and their families to explore these materials outside of school.
Are all of the materials free?
Yes, both of the resource guides can be downloaded and used for free. Additionally, all of the recommended programs in 30 Days of Mindfulness in the Classroom are free. Some of the recommended content in the Self Care Guide for Teachers is not free and is identified as such.
Does the Calm Schools Initiative provide educators with free access to the entire Calm product?
In light of current events, we’ve chosen to create free resources and content that live outside of the Calm app for educators, parents, and anyone working with children. We hope that with this revamp of the Calm Schools Initiative, we are able to increase ease of access by not requiring someone to login or purchase a subscription to access our curated content for educators. This also allows students and their families to access this content from their homes.
